Veterans parade

I remembered talking to Samuel Hunter at the veterans parade in Colorado Springs years ago. Samuel was represent the Tuskegee Airmen and I was represent the VFW post 101. Prior to the parade, we went to talking. I told him I was his neighbor across the street on Las Animas street. He was saying he only a pilot on a B-25, Mitchell bomber and did not deploy in combat. I told him the B-25 was a great airplane. I told it was use at the Doolittle raid and how it was one most heavily armed airplanes. After saying this, he felt happy. He told me he and one other person of the crew of six that it still alive. He looked fit and very healthy. Glad we had that talk. He will be missed. He no question one Colorado Springs important sons.
