Pastor J. Erwin Ericson passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2019 at the age of 94.

He was born in Willmar, MN on May 8, 1924 to J. Einer and Fausta Ericson who preceded him in death along with three brothers—Elmer, Donald, and Lester. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilna.

He, together with his wife, Wilna, faithfully served the Lord in six churches for over fifty years. One of his favorite Bible verses was Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”

Mr Ericson will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is in God’s memory now. The beautiful scripture at Job 14:13-15 says that He (God) will call those asleep in death and they will answer. Yes, our loving Father promises us the hope of a resurrection of the dead! Good times ahead to look forward to and to give us inner peace and calm now.

Pastor Ericson was my mentor for over 5 years. He taught me the high calling and privilege of preaching God's Word. PTL ... heaven is his reward and God is his glory.
