D was an accountant for his entire working life. Occasionally he worked as a bartender at Nemith’s El Tejon and Cecil’s Lounge. In the early 1960’s. he owned and operated The Old Corral Night Club on East Platte Ave.

His favorite pastime by far was fishing for trout in the headwaters of the Rio Grande river and surrounding streams around Creede, Colorado. D started going there with his father, uncle, and family friends in the late 1930’s. Over the years, he made a trip up there every time he got a chance and enjoyed every minute of it. He passed this hobby on to his sons and made several trips with them until his health no longer allowed him to do so.

We will all miss him!

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at 11:00 on June 14, 2019 where he will be laid to rest with his wife Betty.
