Obituary for Marvin Lee Anderson

Marvin L. (Bub) Anderson, a resident of Apple Valley, California, passed away at the age of 79 on December 18, 2018.
Bub was a respected brother to his 10 siblings, a proud soldier, and a faithful husband to Margaret “Louise” Anderson for 32 years, who preceded him in death in 2009.
Bub was born in Boone, Iowa on August 18, 1939, the ninth in a family of 11 children. Bub was honored to have served his country in military service, enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and serving at the Ernest Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador and at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA from 1957 to 1961.
Following his military service, Bub worked as an expert machinist, established his own business as Anderson’s Machine Shop in the 1970’s, and finally retired as a shop steward at AMOT Controls, representing union employees in the International Association of Machinists (IAM).
He leaves behind his companion, Carolyn Glos of Apple Valley, California and his extended family of children, grandchildren and surviving siblings: son Eric Allen Anderson of Richmond, VA; daughter Valerie Singer (Paul) of Chevy Chase, MD; son Jeffrey Anderson (Kaiwen) of New York, NY; grandson Justin Anderson (Jordan) and granddaughters Jillian and Suzanne Singer; sisters, Anna Parise of Woodland, CA and Dorothy Enke of Fort Worth, TX; and a brother, Dale Anderson of Sacramento, CA.
He was laid to eternal rest with his beloved wife at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 29, 2018.
