Obituary for Larry Clark Martin

LARRY CLARK MARTIN

Larry C. Martin, 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 7:10 PM at Pikes Peak Hospice in Penrose Hospital.

Larry was born March 23, 1942 in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of George O. and Olive Arleen Rasor Martin. He married Donnis Anita Pearson November 12, 1966. She survives.

From this Marriage resulted Three Children: Stacey (Angelo) Sanchez, Ronald (Michelle Setter) Martin, and Curtis (Julie Anderson) Martin.

Other survivors include:
Grand Daughter Kayla Sanchez. 5 Grandsons: Tyler Martin, Stephen Martin, Graham Martin, Kyle Sanchez and Jared Martin. One Great Grand Daughter: Kaylee Marie.
One Great Grandson Hayden John.
Larry is also survived by his sister Georgann Kay (Jesse) Cranford and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was preceeded in Death by his Mother Arleen and Father George and Brother Darryl Lynn Martin.

Larry graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1960 and voluntarily enlisted into the Army in which he was a Surveyor for a Honest John Unit from 1962 - 1965. Larry subsequently served his country via Civil Service for 35 years through the Department of the Air Force and NORAD in which he was instrumental in the upkeep and maintenance of the computer programs which alerted all of North America in case of a missile launch against her during the 1970's- 1990's.

Larry was a Member of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs and watched services via television weekly.

Larry enjoyed playing guitar and loved music. He enjoyed supporting and watching all of his family members activities and sports. He especially enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday January 11 at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel in Colorado Springs with Curtis and Graham Martin officiating. Burial services will begin at 1pm on the 11th of January at Pikes Peak National Veterans Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home on Thursday January 10th.
